About PetCount™ and the team behind

PetCount™  Sperm Quality Test for dogs is developed by the Danish company MotilityCount ApS.  

The PetCount™ Test uses the patented Swim-Up technology which has been developed and used firstly in the SwimCount™ Sperm Quality Test for men. 
After more than 2 successful years of SwimCount™ Sperm Quality Test for men the rumours spread to the dog owners as well. 

DEVELOPED WITH DOGS FOR DOGS

PetCount was invented due to multiple requests from consumers who had heard about our SwimCount™ Sperm Quality Test for men and wanted to know if it could be used to test their dog's sperm quality as well.
Jacob Møllenbach, the Co-founder of SwimCount™ wanted to investige the idea further and started to test and calibrate the test on dog semen. With the help from a lot of dogs and their owners, Jacob started testing, made analyses, calibrated the test, spend hours with veterinarians in order to know all about dog reproduction and in the end to meet consumer needs with a reliable home sperm quality test for dogs.

THE SWIMCOUNT™ SPERM QUALITY TEST FOR MEN

A big clinical study, on the technology and clinical validation, on more than 320 patients was presented at this year 2017 American Society of Reproductive Medicine in San Antonio/USA.

The study was designed to compare the SwimCount™ test result to WHO Gold Standard (microscopy manually counting numbers of PMSCs). The overall conclusion is that the SwimCount™ Sperm Quality Test results have an accuracy of 95% compared to Gold Standard.
